Ingredients list for Kadhi Bhel
- 1 cup Mixed Bhel
- 2 cups Yogurt
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Gram flour (besan)
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dried ginger powder (soonth)
- 1 teaspoon Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- for garnishing Chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Heat yogurt in a non-stick pan. Add salt, a little water and gram flour and blend well with a hand blender.
- Add turmeric powder, sugar and dried ginger powder, mix well and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
- Heat ghee in another non-stick pan and add cumin seeds. When they change colour, add green chillies and curry leaves and sauté for half a minute. Pour this tempering into the yogurt mixture and mix well. Cool down to room temperature.
- Put bhel in a serving dish, pour the kadhi on top, garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
