If you want to make this recipe a tad healthier you can bake the potatoes to a crisp instead of frying them. A perfect starter for any party - just hand each of your guests a tooth pick and let the party begin!</p>

Ingredients for Honey Chilli Potatoes Recipe

  • Potatoes cut into fingers soaked in water 5-6 medium

  • Red Chilli Flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli paste 2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli sauce 2 teaspoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 5 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic chopped 5-6 cloves

  • Red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon

  • Vinegar 2 teaspoons

  • Honey 2 tablespoons

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Spring onion greens chopped 2 stalks

Method

Step 1

Drain potato fingers and transfer into a large bowl.

Step 2

Add garlic paste, red chilli paste, half of red chilli sauce, cornflour and salt with mix with a light hand.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a wok. Deep fry potato fingers till crisp and golden brown. Drain and place on an absorbent paper. Set aside.

Step 4

To make sauce, heat one tablespoon oil in a wok and add chopped garlic. Sauté for a minute. Add red chilli flakes, remaining red chilli sauce and vinegar. Stir. Add honey, sugar and salt. Stir and cook till well blended. Toss in fried potato fingers and mix well.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and spring onion greens.

Step 6

Add red chilli sauce, vinegar, red chilli flakes, sugar and honey.

Step 7

Mix well and cook for half minute.

Step 8

Add salt and mix well. Lower the heat and add fried potato wedges.

Step 9

Mix well, add spring onion greens and mix again.

Step 10

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
