Ingredients list for Hare Tamatar ki Sabzi

  • 8 medium Green Tomatoes
  • for garnishing Garlic Sev
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 8-10 Garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried mango powder (amchur)
  • to taste Salt
  • 130 grams Bhuna masala
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped


  1. Roughly chop tomatoes and grind into a purée.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. Add ginger, green chillies and garlic and sauté till garlic becomes a light golden.
  3. Add tomato purée and sauté for 6-8 minutes. Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, dried mango powder and salt and sauté for 2-3 minutes
  4. Add bhuna masala and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with garlic sev and serve hot.
