Ingredients list for Hare Moong ki Chaaswali Khichdi
- 1 1/2 cups Whole Moong soaked in water for 3-4 hours
- 2 1/2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 cup Rice soaked for ½ hour
- 1 teaspoon Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 4-5 Cloves
- 2 medium Carrots cut into 1 inch pieces
- 4-6 medium Cauliflower florets cut into small florets
- 3-4 Green chillies slit
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and cloves and sauté for a minute. Add carrots, cauliflower, moong, green chillies, turmeric powder and rice.
- Mix well and add chaas and salt. Mix well, cover and cook till 2 whistles are given out. Lower heat and cook for 5-10 minutes more. Serve hot.
