Ingredients list for Green Peas Kadhi
- 1 cup Green peas boiled
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon Tomato puree
- 2 teaspoons Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 2 tablespoons Onion paste
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Fresh cream
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
Method
- Put yogurt, gram flour, cumin powder, chilli powder and tomato puree in a bowl and mix well.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let it change colour. Add asafoetida and onion paste, mix and sauté on a medium heat for one minute.
- Add the yogurt mixture, green peas and salt, mix well and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, for five to six minutes or till the mixture thickens. Add cream and mix well.
- Switch off heat, add lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve hot.
