Ingredients list for Dosa Dhokla

  • Dosa batter
  • For Stuffing
  • 500 grams Potato boiled and mashed
  • 250 grams Onion chopped
  • to shallow fry Oil 4-5 tablespoons +
  • 8-10 Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Split skinless black grams (dhuli urad dal)
  • 1 tablespoon Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fruit salt
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves


  1. To make stuffing, heat 4-5 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and urad dal till it catches brown shade.
  2. Add the onions and stir till it becomes brown.
  3. Add the potatoes, green chilli, ginger, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt to taste.
  4. For making dosa dhokla,
  5. Take half the dosa batter add salt as per taste and also add fruit salt and stir the batter properly.
  6. Now add the batter in properly greased plate.
  7. Put the plate in the steamer and steam it for 10-15 min.
  8. Now spread the stuff on it and again steam it for 2-3 min.
