Ingredients list for Bhuna Chicken Stroganoff
- 2 Chicken Breasts cut into thin long pieces
- Red Chiili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon Garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried mango powder
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 medium Onion
- 1/2 medium Green capsicum
- 4 medium Mushrooms
- 3 medium Pickled gherkins
- 1 teaspoon Mustard paste
- 1 cup Fresh cream
- to taste Salt
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
Method
- Place the chicken pieces in a bowl, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, dried mango powder, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice and mix. Add refined flour and mix well.
- Heat oil and 1 tbsp butter in a non-stick pan. Add chicken pieces and cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Cut onion and capsicum into thin long pieces and add to the pan.
- Slice mushrooms. Cut gherkins into thin long slices and add both to the pan. Add mustard paste and fresh cream and mix. Add salt and mix well. Switch off heat. Transfer the stroganoff into a serving bowl.
- Heat the remaining butter in another non-stick pan. Add cooked rice and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Transfer the rice into a mould, press tightly and upturn it onto a serving plate. Serve hot with chicken stroganoff.
