Baked Chicken Tarts

Tart shells filled with spicy chicken mince, topped with tomato puree and cheese and baked. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Baked Chicken Tarts

  • 100 grams Chicken mince
  • For topping Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 16 small Tart shells readymade
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger chopped
  • 7-8 Garlic cloves chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • ½ tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • For topping Tomato puree


  1. Preheat oven at 250°C.
  2. Chop green chillies.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté well. Add chopped green chillies and sauté well.
  4. Add ginger, mix well and sauté. Add garlic, mix well and sauté till the onion and garlic turn light brown.
  5. Add chicken mince, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add salt, red chilli powder, crushed peppercorns and garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Switch off heat and add chopped coriander. Mix well.
  8. Place tart shells on a baking tray and fill with the chicken mixture. Top with tomato puree and cheese, put tray in the preheated oven and bake till cheese melts.
  9. Serve hot.
