Ingredients list for Aloo Mayonnaise Tikki
- 2 large Potatoes boiled, peeled and grated
- 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 3 tablespoons Salted peanuts roasted and coarsely ground
- Cornflour 2 tablespoons + for dusting
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- For garnishing
- Thin strips of green capsicum
- Thin strips of red capsicum
- Thin strips of yellow capsicum
- Chaat masala
Method
- Mix together potatoes, onion, green chillies, ginger, red chilli powder, salt, mayonnaise, peanuts and 2 tbsps cornflour in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Dust your palms with cornflour. Make equal sized balls of the potato mixture.
- Place the balls in the pan and flatten them with a spatula. Cook on one side till golden. Flip and cook on the other side till evenly done.
- Place thin strips of green, red and yellow capsicums on a serving plate. Transfer the tikkis on them, sprinkle some chaat masala and serve hot.
