Ingredients for Spicy Pumpkin With Coconut Recipe

  • Pumpkin 500 grams

  • Onions sliced 3 medium

  • Oil 4 tablespoons

  • Garlic crushed 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh red chillies chopped 3

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed 1 teaspoon

  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Desiccated coconut 1/4 cup

  • Tomatoes chopped 3 medium

Method

Step 1

Peel and cut the pumpkin into medium sized pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onion and saute on high heat. Add pumpkin pieces and saute for a few minutes.

Step 2

Add crushed garlic and saute. Add fresh red chillies, salt and crushed black pepper and mix. Add cinnamon powder, desiccated coconut, chopped tomatoes and water. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes till done. Serve hot.
