Ingredients
- 4-5 medium apple, deseeded & chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon rock salt (sendha namak)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger grated
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 10-12 raisins
- 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
Method
- Heat a thick-bottomed pan and add apples along with sugar. It will start leaving water.
- Cook till the water evaporates then add salt, rock salt, ginger and cook on low heat for five minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, cinnamon powder, raisins and vinegar and cook for one minute and remove from heat.
- Cool thoroughly before storing in an air-tight container.
