Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Peanut Chicken Recipe

  • Boneless chicken , cubed 400 grams

  • Smooth peanut butter 1 tablespoon

  • Onions 2 medium

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Curry leaves 10-15

  • Garlic 5-6 cloves

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Green chillies , slit 2-3

  • Coconut milk 1 cup

  • Tomatoes 2 medium

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Quarter onions and chop them in a chopper.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add curry leaves and onions, mix and saute till onions soften.

Step 3

Crush garlic cloves into the pan, mix and saute for 1 minute. Add 2 tbsps water so that the mixture does not burn. Continue to saute till onions are lightly browned.

Step 4

Add chicken and mix. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and green chillies, mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Add peanut butter and coconut milk and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Cut each tomato into 12 pieces and add to the pan. Add salt, mix well and cook till tomatoes soften and chicken gets cooked.

Step 7

Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
