Ingredients list for Paneer Bhature-SK Khazana

  • 1 cup Cottage cheese (paneer) grated
  • 1 1/2 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder
  • a pinch Baking soda
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Castor
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • to serve Chole
  • for garnishing Onion rings
  • for garnishing Green chilli

Method

  1. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, castor sugar, 1 tablespoon oil and yogurt in a parat. Add sufficient water and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside for 1 hour.
  2. Mix together cottage cheese, coriander leaves, green chillies and salt in a bowl.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and stuff with a portion of cottage cheese mixture and shape into a ball.
  4. Grease the worktop with some oil and roll out each stuffed ball into a bhatura.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry each bhatura till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot with chole, onion rings and green chilli.
