Ingredients for Nutri Sandwich Recipe

  • Brown Bread Slices 8

  • Vegetables 2 tablespoons

  • Ginger chopped 1 inch piece

  • Garlic chopped 8 cloves

  • Green chillies chopped 5

  • Onions chopped 3 medium

  • Fenugreek powder 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

  • Potatoes boiled and mashed 2

  • Carrot grated 2 medium

  • French beans chopped 8-10

  • Green peas blanched 1/2 cup

  • American corn kernels blanched 1/4 cup

  • Soya granules soaked 1 cup

  • Paneer (cottage cheese) 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Butter as required

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non stick pan add onions and saute till light brown.

Step 2

Add garlic, ginger, green chillies and saute for a minute. Remove from flame and grind to a fine paste.Heat oil in the same pan add onion paste and saute for a minute.

Step 3

Add fenugreek powder, turmeric powder and saute for a minute. Add potatoes, carrots, french beans, green peas, American corn kernels and let it cook till the vegetables are tender.

Step 4

Add soya granuals, paneer, salt and saute for a minute.Apply butter to the bread slices and place the four bread slices on the plate. Put equal quantity mixture on the bread slices and cover them with remaining slices.

Step 5

Apply some butter on top of the slices and toast the sandwiches in the toaster till golden brown in colour. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
