Ingredients
- 3 cups boiled chickpeas (kabuli chana)
- 2 cups yogurt
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Whisk gram flour with yogurt till smooth.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and saute till they change colour.
- Add the yogurt mixture, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and stir well.
- Cook till the mixture begins to thicken.
- Add one cup of water and stir to mix.
- Add chickpeas and sugar and mix well. Cook for five minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
