Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and saute till they change colour. Add the yogurt mixture, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and stir well. Cook till the mixture begins to thicken. Add one cup of water and stir to mix. Add chickpeas and sugar and mix well. Cook for five minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
