Ingredients list for Jain Mysore Masala Dosa
- 2 cups Dosa batter
- 1 cup Raw banana chopped
- Oil 1 tablespoon + as required
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 6-8 Curry leaves
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Green capsicum finely chopped
- 1 cup Tomatoes chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Coconut chutney
- 2 tablespoons Red chilli sauce
Method
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves, green chilli and capsicum and sauté.
- Add raw banana and tomatoes. Mix well, cover and cook for 5-8 minutes.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Add sugar, coconut chutney and red chilli sauce and mix well.
- Mash the mixture with a masher, mix well sauté for a minute. Transfer into a bowl and set aside.
- To make dosa, heat a non-stick tawa and pour a ladleful of the dosa batter on it and spread into a thin dosa. Drizzle some oil on the sides and cook till dosa is half done.
- Spread a portion of the vegetable masala in the center and fold the sides into a triangle. Similarly make more dosas.
- Transfer into a serving plate and serve hot with chutney.
