Ingredients list for Dosa Waffles

  • as required Dosa batter
  • 1 tablespo Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Curry leaves chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 Medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 Medium tomato finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • to serve Green coconut chutney

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves, green chillies and onions, mix and sauté till onion turns translucent.
  2. Add tomatoes and salt, mix well and saute till tomato turns soft and pulpy. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder, mix well and saute for a minute. Set aside to cool.
  3. Take dosa batter in a large bowl, add the cooked mixture, coriander leaves and salt and mix well.
  4. Heat a waffle iron and grease it lightly with a little oil. Pour the batter, cover and cook till fully done. Make more waffles in the same way.
  5. Place waffles on a serving platter and serve hot with green coconut chutney.
