When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Dahi Chicken Korma - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cut into 1 inch pieces 500 grams

  • Yogurt (dahi) 1 cup

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Large onion finely chopped 1

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies 2

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tablespoon

  • Medium tomato finely chopped 1

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and sauté till translucent. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, mix and cook for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add green chillies and chicken, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 cup water and mix.

Step 3

Add garam masala powder, mix well, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Blend together tomato and yogurt to a fine puree.

Step 5

Add the puree to the chicken and mix well for a minute. Cover and cook till fully done.

Step 6

Add coriander leaves and mix well. Add crushed peppercorns, mix well and simmer for a minute.

Step 7

Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with steamed rice.
