Ingredients for Crispy Squid Rings with Spicy Mayo Recipe

  • Squids cut into rings 4-5 medium

  • Garlic Powder 1 teaspoon

  • Onion powder 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Paprika ½ teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Refined flour (maida) ½ cup

  • Corn flakes 1½ cups

  • Bread crumbs dried ¼ cup

  • Egg 1

  • Spicy mayo

  • sriracha sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Mayonnaise ¼ cup

  • Pickled jalapenos finely chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh parsley chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped for garnishing


Step 1

Take squid rings in a bowl. Add garlic powder, onion powder, crushed peppercorns, paprika, lemon juice, garlic paste and salt and mix well.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a pan.

Step 3

Take flour on a plate.

Step 4

Take cornflakes on another plate and crush coarsely. Add bread crumbs and mix well.

Step 5

Beat egg in another bowl.

Step 6

Coat each marinated squid rings with flour, dip in egg and coat with cornflakes-bread crumbs mixture.

Step 7

Deep-fry the prepared squid rings in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 8

To prepare spicy mayo, take mayonnaise in another bowl. Add sriracha sauce, jalapenos, parsley, crushed peppercorns and salt and mix well.

Step 9

Transfer spicy mayo in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Step 10

Serve hot with spicy mayo.
