Ingredients list for Creamy Khoya Chawal
- 1 cup Khoya
- 2 cups Cooked Rice
- a few strands Saffron (kesar)
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 3-4 Green cardamoms
- 3-4 Cloves
- 10 Raisins
- 10 Almonds
- 10 Pistachios
- 10 Cashewnuts
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
Method
- Mix saffron and milk in a bowl, keep it in microwave on high for 30 seconds.
- Slice almonds and chop pistachios.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add green cardamoms, cloves, raisins, almonds, pistachios and cashewnuts and sauté till fragrant.
- Add sugar and mix well. Add saffron dissolved in milk and khoya and mix well. Add boiled basmati rice and mix it well.
- Cover the pan and continue to cook for a few minutes. Serve hot.
