Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Farcha Recipe

  • Chicken drumsticks 8

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Coriander powder 3 teaspoons

  • Cumin powder 2 teaspoons

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoons

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Black peppercorns , crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Breadcrumbs 1 cup

  • Eggs , beaten 3

  • Onion rings to garnish

  • Lemon slices to garnish

  • Fresh mint leaves to garnish


Step 1

Take chicken drumsticks in a bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, crushed peppercorns and salt and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 3

Spread breadcrumbs on a plate and coat the marinated chicken drumsticks with it.

Step 4

Take beaten eggs in a bowl. Dip each coated chicken drumstick in beaten eggs, slide into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Serve hot garnished with onion rings, lemon slices and mint leaves.
