Ingredients list for Cauliflower Popcorns

  • 1 cup Cauliflower small florets
  • ½ teaspoon Refined Flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • ½ teaspoon Dried mango powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 cup Maize flour (makkai ka atta)
  • 1 tablespoon Gram flour (besan)
  • a pinch Soda bicarbonate
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • for sprink Chaat masala

Method

  1. Mix together cauliflower florets, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, dried mango powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. To make the batter, mix together refined flour, maize flour, gram flour and soda bicarbonate in another bowl. Add sufficient chilled water and mix well to make a thick batter.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  4. Dip cauliflower florets in the batter till they are evenly coated, slide them into the hot oil and deep fry till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Transfer on a serving plate, sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot.
