Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Badami Tangdi - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Chicken drumsticks 8

  • Almonds blanched, peeled and ground to paste 12-14

  • Green chilli-ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Black peppercorns crushed 1 1/4 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 3/4 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Gram flour (besan) 2 tablespoons

  • Mayonnaise 1 3/4 tablespoons

  • Garam masala powder 1 3/4 teaspoons

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • White pepper powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Lemon wedges to serve

  • Onion rings to serve

Method

Step 1

Make light incisions on the chicken drumsticks and place them in a mixing bowl. Add green chilli-ginger-garlic paste, crushed black peppercorns, lemon juice and salt and rub onto the chicken drumsticks. Marinate for 20-25 minutes.

Step 2

For the second marinade, mix together almond paste, gram flour, mayonnaise, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, white pepper powder and salt in another mixing bowl. Add the chicken legs and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 30-40 minutes.

Step 3

Preheat the air fryer at 200°C. Grease the air fryer basket with oil and set aside.

Step 4

Place 4 marinated chicken drumsticks in the air fryer basket. Spread some of the remaining marinade over them and cook for 15 minutes. Cook the remaining chicken drumsticks similarly.

Step 5

Transfer them onto a serving plate and serve hot with lemon wedges and onion rings.
