Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons barnyard millet (samo)
- 4 teaspoons ginger-green chilli paste
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
- 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
- Methi sambharo for sprinkling
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves for sprinkling
Method
- Put the barnyard millet in a grinder jar and grind coarsely.
- Heat 2½ cups water in a deep pan, add ginger-green chilli paste, salt, carom seeds and white sesame seeds, mix and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add the ground millet and cook, stirring continuously, for 5-6 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle methi sambharo and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
