Ingredients
- 2 medium onions, peeled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 teaspoon crushed coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
- Oil for greasing
Method
- Slice onions thinly and transfer into a bowl. Add salt, mix well and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Add gram flour, crushed coriander seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and carom seeds and mix well.
- Preheat the air fryer to 200° C for 2-3 minutes.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and brush some oil over it.
- Divide the onion mixture into equal sized pakodas and place in air fryer basket in single layer.
- Brush some more oil on top, fit the basket to the air fryer and air fry for 6 minutes.
- Bring the basket out, flip, brush some more oil over the pakodas, fit the basket to the air fryer and air fry for 8 minutes.
- Bring the basket out, arrange the pakodas in a serving bowl and serve hot.
