Ingredients
- 10-12 thick light green chillies
- 3-4 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- Salt to taste
- 10-12 curry leaves
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- ¼ cup roasted and powdered peanuts
- 2-3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnish
- Jowar bhakri for serving
Method
- Remove the stems of the chillies, slit them and chop roughly.
- Heat oil in kadai. Add cumin seeds and once they start to change colour, add garlic, mix and sauté till golden brown.
- Add onions and salt, mix and sauté till golden brown.
- Add curry leaves and mix. Add green chillies and mix. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well.
- Add powdered peanuts and mix well. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and mix.
- Transfer into serving bowl, sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot with jowar bhakri.
