Ingredients
- ½ cup black eyed peas (lobia), soaked for 6-7 hours and drained
- ⅛ cup cooked rice
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 green chilli
- ½ inch ginger, roughly chopped
- 10-12 fresh coriander sprigs
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
- Coconut chutney for serving
Method
- Put black eyed peas into a grinder jar, add rice, cumin seeds, green chilli, ginger, coriander sprigs, salt and 1 cup water and grind to a coarse paste. Transfer it into a bowl.
- Heat a tawa. Brush some oil and spread a ladleful batter, drizzle some oil all around and cook on medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Use up the remaining batter similarly.
- Place the dosas on serving plates and serve hot with coconut chutney.
