Ingredients

  • 15-20 Pro V Select Whole Natural Cashew (kaju)
  • 15-20 Pro V Select California Whole Natural Almonds (badam)
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 2 teaspoons saffron water
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Saffron strands as required

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
  2. Put Pro V Select California Whole Natural Almonds into a grinder jar, add Pro V Select Whole Natural Cashew, powdered sugar and green cardamom powder and grind coarsely.
  3. Transfer this mixture into a bowl, add saffron water and milk and knead into a stiff dough.
  4. Place a butter paper on worktop, place a portion of mixture on top and cover with another piece of butter paper and roll into thin disc.
  5. Cut into small roundels with a small round cookie cutter and arrange them on a baking tray lined with silicon sheet. Place some saffron strands on each puri. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Bring the tray out of the oven and set aside to cool down to room temperature. Arrange the puris on a serving plate and serve.
