Ingredients
- 3 cups chopped fresh coriander leaves (hara dhaniya)
- 1¼ cups gram flour (besan)
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of baking soda
- ½ teaspoon chopped jaggery
- 2 tablespoon hot oil + for deep frying
- Green chutney for serving
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Take coriander leaves in a bowl, add gram flour, green chillies, turmeric powder, salt, baking soda, jaggery and ¼ cup water and mix well to make a thick batter.
- Add 2 tablespoons hot oil and mix well.
- Drop small portions of the mixture in hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them in a serving platter and serve hot with green chutney.
