Ingredients
- 1 large green capsicum, seeded and finely chopped
- 12 white bread slices
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- ½ teaspoon red chilli flakes
- ½ teaspoon sandwich masala
- Butter for applying
- Green chutney for applying
- Grated processed cheese for sprinkling
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Mix together green capsicum, onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt, crushed black peppercorns, red chilli flakes and sandwich masala in a large bowl.
- To make each sandwich, apply butter and green chutney on one side of 3 bread slices. Place a portion of the stuffing on two of the bread slices, sprinkle processed cheese over these two slices. Place them one top of the other and cover with the remaining bread slice with the green chutney side facing down. Apply butter on top.
- Heat an electric griller. Place 2 sandwiches in it at a time, and grill for 5-6 minutes or till golden brown and crisp.
- Diagonally cut the sandwich in half and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
