Creamy Garlic Chicken Wrap

Ingredients

  • 400 grams boneless chicken, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
  • 4 teaspoons fried garlic
  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste
  • 4 ready-made refined flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil                
  • 2 fresh red chillies, chopped
  • 15-20 button mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste
  • 20-25 baby spinach leaves
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1½ cups thick yogurt
  • Assorted lettuce leaves as required
  • Spicy cheese spread for drizzling
  • Chips to serve
  • Salad to serve

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add chopped garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add fresh red chillies and mix well.
  2. Add button mushrooms, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add chicken, salt and crushed black peppercorns, mix and sauté on high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add spinach leaves and mix well and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add butter, mix, and saute for a few seconds. Take the pan off the heat.
  4. Take yogurt in a bowl, add fried garlic, garlic paste, salt and crushed black peppercorns, and whisk well.
  5. Heat a non-stick tawa, place each tortilla on it and cook for a few seconds on each side.
  6. Place it on a worktop, apply some yogurt-garlic mixture, place a few lettuce leaves, top it with a portion of chicken mixture. Drizzle cheese spread over it and fold the sides and tightly roll it into a wrap. 
  7. Cut it in half, place on a serving plate and serve immediately with chips and salad.
