Ingredients
- ¾ cup chicken mince
- 8 wonton sheets
- 2 tablespoons chopped spring onion bulbs
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoons chopped spring onion greens + to garnish
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- Salt to taste
- ¼ cup cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon blended sesame oil
- Corn flour slurry as required
- Oil for deep frying
- Sweet chilli sauce for serving
Method
- Take chicken mince in a bowl, add spring onion bulbs, garlic, spring onion greens, crushed black peppercorns, salt, cream cheese and blended sesame oil and mix well.
- Place the wonton sheets on worktop. Place the mixture in the centre of each sheet and brush the cornflour slurry on the edges. Bring 4 edges together and seal them well to make a parcel.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slide the prepared pockets into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange the parcels on a serving plate, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
