Chicken And Cheese Parcels

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup chicken mince
  • 8 wonton sheets
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onion bulbs
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onion greens + to garnish
  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon blended sesame oil
  • Corn flour slurry as required
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Sweet chilli sauce for serving

Method

  1. Take chicken mince in a bowl, add spring onion bulbs, garlic, spring onion greens, crushed black peppercorns, salt, cream cheese and blended sesame oil and mix well.
  2. Place the wonton sheets on worktop. Place the mixture in the centre of each sheet and brush the cornflour slurry on the edges. Bring 4 edges together and seal them well to make a parcel.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.  Slide the prepared pockets into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Arrange the parcels on a serving plate, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
