Chicken is a favourite with most non vegetarian lovers and when it is fried it gets devoured as fast as they get ready. This is a popular Japanese snack that can be served with drinks. They can also be served with cups of hot tea.

Ingredients

·300 grams boneless chicken leg, cut into 1 inch pieces

·2 tsps ginger paste

·1 tbsp garlic paste

·1 tbsp light soy sauce

·1 tbsp blended sesame oil

·Salt to taste

·Black pepper powder to taste

·¾ cup potato starch

·¾ cup refined flour

·2 eggs

·Oil for deep frying

·Lemon wedges to serve

·Fresh parsley sprigs for garnish

·Mustard mayonnaise to serve

Method

1.Take chicken in a bowl, add ginger paste, garlic paste, light soy sauce, blended sesame oil, salt and black pepper powder and mix well.

2.Take potato starch in a bowl. Add salt and mix.

3.Take refined flour in another plate, add salt, black pepper powder and mix well.

4.Break eggs into a bowl. Add salt and black pepper powder and whisk well.

5.Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

6.Roll the chicken pieces in refined flour mixture, dip in egg mixture and finally roll in potato starch mixture.

7.Slide these coated chicken pieces into hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

8.Arrange the on a serving platter, garnish with parsley sprigs and serve hot with lemon wedges and mustard mayonnaise.
