Ingredients
- ⅓ cup cream cheese, softened
- ⅓ cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup castor sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- ¾ cup refined flour (maida)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
- ⅛ cup milk (optional)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C.
- Take butter in a large bowl, add cream cheese and beat with an electric beater till light. Add castor sugar in batches and beat till the mixture turns light and fluffy.
- Break the eggs, one at a time, into the bowl and beat well in between each addition.
- Add vanilla essence and beat till well combined.
- Sift refined flour and salt directly into the mixture. Add chocolate chips and gently fold in till well combined.
- Add milk and gently fold in till a smooth batter is formed. Transfer the batter into a silicon mould. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes.
- Bring the cake out of the oven and let it cool completely. De-mould and cut the cake into slices, arrange on a serving plate and serve.
