Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour + for dusting
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 8-10 curry leaves, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Method
- Heat 1 cup water in a kadai, add butter, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, sesame seeds, green chillies, curry leaves and salt and mix well.
- Once the mixture comes to a boil, add rice flour and mix well. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll into balls.
- Dust some rice flour on the surface and roll out into a thin disk. Cut into diamonds and prick with a fork.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slide the prepared pieces and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper and allow to cool.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve. Or you can store them in an airtight container and serve when required.
