Ingredients
- 1 medium watermelon, peeled, seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Red chilli flakes as required
- A few mint sprigs
Method
- To make the dressing, blend tamarind paste, lemon juice, black salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder, salt and oil in a blender.
- Place the watermelon cubes in a bowl. Add the dressing and mix well.
- Transfer the salad in a serving bowl, sprinkle some chilli flakes, garnish with a mint sprig and serve.
