Ingredients list for Veggie Fingers
- ½ cup Cauliflower grated
- ¼ cup Carrots grated
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and grated
- ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- ¼ cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- as required Fresh bread crumbs
- 2-3 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- for deep-frying Oil
- as required Tomato ketchup
Method
- Take cauliflower, carrot, coriander leaves, onion, potatoes, garam masala powder, chilli powder, salt and mozzarella cheese in a bowl and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into 2 inch thick rolls.
- Spread some breadcrumbs on a plate and coat each roll with it.
- Take flour and some water in another bowl and whisk well to make a smooth batter.
- Spread some breadcrumbs on the worktop. Dip the prepared rolls in the batter and roll them in the breadcrumbs on the worktop. Transfer onto a plate and freeze for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Deep-fry rolls in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Put some tomato ketchup in individual shot glasses, place one fried roll in each glass and serve hot.
