Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Thai Chicken in Tortilla Wraps Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cut into small dices 300 grams

  • Tortilla wraps 4

  • Chilli oil 1 teaspoon

  • Vinegar ½ teaspoon

  • Honey 1 teaspoon

  • Soy sauce 2 teaspoons

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Egg 1

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Sesame oil (til oil) 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 1½ tablespoons

  • Romaine lettuce 1 medium bunch

  • Carrot cut into thin strips 1 medium

  • Cucumber cut into thin strips 1 medium

  • Sauce

  • Peanut butter 3 tablespoons

  • Chilli oil 1 teaspoon

  • Vinegar 1 teaspoon

  • Honey 1 teaspoon

  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Take chicken in a bowl. Add hot chilli oil, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, egg, chilli flakes, salt and sesame oil and mix well.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add marinated chicken along with the marinade and sauté till chicken cooks evenly from all sides.

Step 3

To make sauce, put peanut butter, chilli oil, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add water if required.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick tawa. Place tortillas and heat them.

Step 5

Place a tortilla on a worktop. Put Romaine lettuce on it and top with carrots, cucumber and cooked chicken mixture. Drizzle peanut sauce over it and roll tightly. Prepare remaining wraps in a similar way.

Step 6

Halve them and serve immediately.
