Ingredients
- 500 grams pumpkin
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
- 3 fresh red chillies, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon crushed black peppercorns
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 cup desiccated coconut
- 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
Method
- Peel and cut the pumpkin into medium sized pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add sliced onion and saute on high heat. Add pumpkin pieces and saute for a few minutes.
- Add crushed garlic and saute. Add fresh red chillies, salt and crushed black pepper and mix. Add cinnamon powder, desiccated coconut, chopped tomatoes and water. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes till done. Serve hot.
