Ingredients list for Spicy Masala Prawns

  • 25-30 Medium prawns cleaned and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 Medium onion chopped
  • 5-6 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons Red chilli paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Medium tomato copped
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 2 tablespo to garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped


  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add onion and sauté till translucent. Add garlic, sauté till fragrant.
  2. Add cumin powder and coriander powder, mix well and saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add red chilli paste, mix well and saute for 1 minute. Add salt, mix and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato, mix well, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add prawns and mix well. Add some water, mix, cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  6. Add tomato ketchup and vinegar and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  8. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
