Ingredients list for Soya ki Galouti
- 2 cups Soya granules soaked in warm water for 30-45 minutes
- 3 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
- 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
- ½ tablespoon Garlic paste
- to shallow fry Ghee 3 tablespoons +
- 2 teaspoons Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon Mace powder
- 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- to taste Salt
- ½ cup Browned onion paste
- a few saffron strands soaked in water
- 1 teaspoon Kewra water
- to serve Onion rings Curd
Method
- Place soya granules in a strainer and drain excess water. Transfer into a bowl.
- Mix ginger paste, garlic paste and 3-4 tablespoons water in a small bowl and mix well.
- Heat 3 tablespoons ghee in a non-stick pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Add gram flour and sauté till fragrant.
- Add drained soya granules and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Add garam masala powder, red chilli powder, mace powder, green cardamom powder and salt and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Transfer soya mixture on a plate and allow to cool.
- Grind the soya mixture along with browned onion paste to a smooth paste and transfer into another bowl. Add saffron and kewra water and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into tikkis.
