Ingredients list for Quick Jeera Chicken-SK Khazana
- 750 grams Chicken cut into 1 inch pieces on the bone
- 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds (jeera)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
- 2-3 Green chillies roughly chopped
- 1 Large onion sliced
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 12-16 Fresh mint leaves
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- for garnish Fresh coriander sprig
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till the seeds change colour. Add garlic and green chillies and sauté till fragrant.
- Add onions, mix and sauté for 2 minutes. Cover and cook till golden brown. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt, mix and cook till the oil separates.
- Add chicken and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mint leaves, mix well, cover and cook till done.
- Switch off heat, add lemon juice and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
