Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Peshawari Tangdi Kabab Recipe

  • Chicken 8

  • Yogurt

  • Oil for basting

  • Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • FIRST MARINADE

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 2 teaspoon + to deep fry

  • SECOND MARINADE

  • Hung yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger paste 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Mustard oil 2 teaspoons

  • Lemon rind 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Make light incisions on the chicken legs. Mix together the ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and oil and rub onto the chicken legs and set aside for one hour in the refrigerator.

Step 2

For the second marinade, mix hung yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and mustard oil in a bowl and rub well onto the chicken drumsticks. Add lemon rind and mix well and set aside for two hours in the refrigera

Step 3

Season the grill stone with oil and heat. Place the drumsticks on the heated grill stone and cook for five minutes. Baste the drumsticks with oil and continue to cook, rotating them a few times, for five more minutes or till they are evenly cooked.

Step 4

Sprinkle chaat masala and lemon juice and serve hot.
