Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Peanut Chaat-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Raw peanuts 1 1/2 cups

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Onion finely chopped 3 tablespoons

  • Tomato finely chopped 3 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 3/4 teaspoon

  • Roasted cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Black salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Pressure cook peanuts with turmeric powder, salt and sufficient water till the pressure is released for 3 times.

Step 2

Open the lid of the cooker when the pressure has reduced completely and strain and transfer peanuts into a mixing bowl.

Step 3

Add onions, tomatoes, chilli powder, cumin powder, green chillies, lemon juice and black salt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 4

Serve immediately.
