Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Murgh Methi Malai-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken

  • Fresh fenugreek leaves (methi) chopped 1 cup

  • Fresh cream 1 cup + to

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds (jeera) 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies chopped 3

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Medium tomatoes finely chopped 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon

  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) 1 teaspoon

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon

  • Dried fenugreek leaf (kasuri methi) powder 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick deep-pan. Add cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Add onion, tomatoes and salt, mix well and cook till tomatoes turn soft and pulpy.

Step 3

Add fenugreek leaves and mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and dried fenugreek leaves, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4

Add chicken and mix. Add salt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Add yogurt and mix well. Add ½ cup water, stir to mix, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes.

Step 6

Add cream, garam masala powder and dried fenugreek leaves powder, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 7

Drizzle some cream on top and serve hot.
