Ingredients list for Methi Pakora-SK Khazana

  • 1 cup Fresh fenugreek leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tablespoon Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh coriander leves chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger-green chilli paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • a pinch Baking soda
  • a pinch Sugar
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • to serve Green chutney
  • to serve Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Take fenugreek leaves, yogurt, coriander leaves, ginger-green chilli paste, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, baking soda and sugar in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon oil, gram flour and a little water and mix well to make a batter of dropping consistency.
  4. Drop in portions of the batter and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
