Ingredients
- 1 cup green peas , blanched
- 250 grams cottage cheese (paneer)
- 2 medium onions
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala pwoder
- Salt to taste
Method
- Roughly chop onions and tomatoes, put into a mixer jar and grind to a fine puree.
- Cut the cottage cheese into medium cubes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and sauté till their colour changes.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and onion-tomato puree, mix well and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.
- Add ¾ cup water, mix, cover and cook on high heat for 4-5 minutes. Switch off the heat and open the lid when the pressure is completely released.
- Switch on the heat, add cottage cheese and green peas, mix well and cook for 30-40 seconds.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
