Ingredients
- 8 white bread slices
- 3 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
- Grated processed cheese as required
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 5-6 curry leaves
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Butter as required
- Green chutney for spreading and serving
- Tomato ketchup for serving
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add green chillies, chopped curry leaves and let the curry eaves crackle.
- Add turmeric powder, grate in potatoes and mix. Add salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Transfer in a bowl.
- To prepare one portion, apply some butter on one side of 2 bread slices. Spread some green chutney on the butter side of one bread slice.
- Spread some potato mixture and processed cheese on the butter side of other bread slice and cover with the bread slices with chutney side downwards. .
- Heat a non-stick tawa.
- Apply some butter on top of sandwiches, place it inverted on the hot tawa and toast till golden brown. Apply some butter on top, flip and toast till golden brown.
- Cut into triangle and serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
