Ingredients list for Lemon Grass Flavoured Chicken Curry
- 600 grams Chicken Curry Cut curry cut pieces on the bone
- Lemon Grass 1 medium bundle
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 inch Stick Cinnamon stick
- 1 Bay leaf
- 2 Black cardamoms
- 4 Green cardamoms
- 4 Cloves
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 large Brinjal
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- a pinch Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- to taste Salt
- 130 grams Bhuna masala
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick kadai. Add cinnamon, bay leaf, black cardamoms, green cardamoms and cloves and sauté till fragrant.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for half a minute. Add chicken pieces and sauté for a minute.
- Cut brinjal into big pieces, add to the kadai and mix well. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black peppercorns, garam masala powder and salt and mix well.
- Add bhuna masala, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add water till the chicken is completely soaked. Add a bundle of lemon grass and stir. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes till the chicken is cooked.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
