Ingredients
- 300 grams boneless chicken breast, cut into strips
- 2 cups savoury crispies
- 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- Oil for deep-frying
- Chaat masala for sprinkling
- Mayonnaise to serve
Method
- Take chicken strips in a bowl, add red chilli flakes, garlic powder, salt, crushed black peppercorns, onion powder and parsley. Break an egg into the bowl and mix well.
- Put the savoury krispies in a zip lock bag, lock it and crush the crispies, with a rolling pin, into a coarse powder. Spread them on a plate.
- Roll each chicken strip in the crushed savory crispies till they are well coated. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat sufficient oil in a wok, slide the chicken into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle chaat masala over them and mix carefully.
- Transfer them onto a serving plate and serve hot with mayonnaise.
